I’ve always been fascinated with the truth inside fiction, the real-life incidents that stick in the writer’s mind and get transformed into literature. In STRANGE LITTLE STORIES, I look directly at some of those true-life moments of my own––disturbing encounters, unexplainable events––and let them speak for themselves.
As a creator, I’m usually more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it. But “hiding” like that seemed to go against the spirit of STRANGE LITTLE STORIES, where the whole point is to tell the truth and find out where it leads. So I’ll be telling you these stories face-to-face.
In case you’re wondering, you won’t find this story or any others like it in my books. Books are for fiction, at least that’s how I see it. STRANGE LITTLE STORIES like this one are something different, something all their own. Rough, raw, unapologetic. Real stuff.
I hope you enjoy them.
